In a low-scoring tilt between the Seattle Emeralds and the Dallas Wranglers, Pat Burkholder, who leads the ABL with a 2.13 ERA, was the difference-maker. The Seattle right-hander spearheaded the 3-2 win. Burkholder, now 10-2, was the winner. In 7.2 innings, he gave up 7 hits, while striking out 1, walking 3, and allowing 2 runs. Carroll Reynolds, credited with the save, is now 2 for 6 in save opportunities.

The Emeralds got a big at-bat from first baseman Dave Robertson. For the game, Robertson went 1 for 3 with a double and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the fifth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 4th double of the season gave Seattle a 2-1 lead.

"We came out on top and that's all I can ask for," said Burkholder.
