Slide Continues for Blockbusters
|
St. Louis turned a good effort from starter Dick Lott into a win over the Los Angeles Blockbusters at Corps of Discovery Stadium. The Explorers won the game, 4-2. Lott picked up the win for St. Louis, going 6.2 innings. He gave up no runs on 2 hits. He now sports a record of 7-4. Alex Alonso earned his 13th save in 16 chances.
The Explorers had to work out of trouble in the top of the ninth. The score was 4-2, St. Louis, with two out. Los Angeles, with the bases loaded, was mounting a threat. Rob Norton dug in at the plate, but on a first pitch sinker, he grounded out.
The losing streak for Los Angeles has now reached 6 games.
