Ken Morrison, who led the ABL in wins with 21 in 1967, was locked in. The right-hander led the St. Louis Explorers to a 7-4 win against the Los Angeles Blockbusters at Blockbuster Stadium. St. Louis, at 36-45, occupies last place in the National Baseball League Western Division.

St. Louis relied on the hitting of Chuck Panetta to pick up the win. The left fielder ripped a 2-run triple in the top of the fifth inning to put the Explorers on top, 4-0. For the game, Panetta had 1 triple and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
