Knickerbockers Earn 3-1 Win Against Bobcats
The New York Knickerbockers handed the Cleveland Bobcats a 3-1 defeat in 10 innings at Lakefront Stadium. Left Fielder Javier Guerra starred for New York. He went 2 for 3 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Ollie Hundley, now 2-2, was credited with the win in 2 innings of relief. He allowed 1 run on 2 hits, while striking out 3 and walking 0. With the victory, the Knickerbockers upped their record to 41-39.

Guerra had a game-changing home run in the top of the tenth. On a 3-1 sinker from Bill Smith, he banged a 2-run home run to left, giving the Knickerbockers a 3-1 lead. It was the 7th home run of the year for Guerra.

"Watch and learn," said Guerra. "This is what good pitching looks like."
