Industrials Win, 4-3, Versus Philadelphia
|
A good performance from left fielder Don Keough helped the Pittsburgh Industrials defeat the Philadelphia Quakers, 4-3. Keough was 2-4 with a home run, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once for the Industrials. Pittsburgh has now won 3 in a row.
The game was decided with one out in the bottom of the ninth. With Pittsburgh trailing 3-0, Keough jumped on a changeup from 11-year veteran Ralph Weintraub and hit a grand slam home run to left-center. With one swing, the Industrials had a walk-off win.
"This place was rocking at the end," Keough said.
