Eagles Deal Quakers 6-0 Defeat
|
John Walker was nothing short of phenomenal for the Washington Eagles. The 28-year-old left-hander was a big reason his team beat the Philadelphia Quakers, 6-0. Washington is last in the National Baseball League Eastern Division with a record of 31-48.
In the top of the fifth, Washington catcher Jesus Olvera had a productive at-bat. With a runner on 2nd and one out, Olvera stroked a run-scoring single to left-center. It made the score 2-0, Washington. For the game, he was 1 for 4.
"John mixed and matched," said Washington manager Brandon Tucker.
