Generals Hang 4-1 Loss on Habitants
|
Atlanta rode a good effort from starter Steve Gregg to beat the Montreal Habitants at Atlantic Station Field. The final score was 4-1. Gregg got the win, improving to 3-1. He allowed 5 hits and walked 3 over 8 innings. Gregg allowed 1 run. Ron Nightingale recorded the save, his 1st.
The Generals got a big at-bat from second baseman David Obert. For the game, Obert was 1 for 4 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the fifth, with runners on 1st and 3rd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 1st home run of the season gave Atlanta a 4-1 lead.
"Can't say enough about our pitching," said Obert.
The Generals improve their record to 37-44 with the win over Montreal.
