Habitants Defeat Lords, 4-2
|
The Montreal Habitants racked up a win at Seton Hill Stadium, bumping off the Baltimore Lords, 4-2, in 10 innings. Bob Schar, who started for Montreal, pitched effectively for his team. The 4th-place Habitants now have a win-loss record of 40-41.
Jim Foulke came through with a big-time hit for Montreal. The catcher smacked a 2-run home run in the top of the tenth inning to give his team the lead, 4-2. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.
"Tough ballgame, tough loss," said Baltimore manager Steve Read.
