Hawks Topple Northmen with Late Rally
|
Chicago Hawks starter Leonardo Ibarra led his team to victory over the Twin Cities Northmen, 3-2. The right-hander was locked-in. Ken Eldridge notched the win in relief. The right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 3 innings. His record now sits at 3-1. Twin Cities now has a record of 1-7.
Chicago went up, 3-2, on Don Bozza's 2nd home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which Bozza hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Twin Cities pitcher Rick Lindstrom shaking his head.
"We have a lot of confidence in Leonardo," said Chicago manager Mike Flaherty.
