Blockbusters Solve Bulls, 5-2
|
The home crowd had a good time watching the Kansas City Bulls and Los Angeles Blockbusters get after it.
Los Angeles starter Larry Messenger had a strong outing against the Kansas City Bulls at Blockbuster Stadium. The right-hander was a big part of his team's 5-2 win. Messenger went 8.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 11 hits, walked 2, and struck out 5. His record improves to 9-5.
In the bottom of the fifth, Los Angeles third baseman Jordan Aubert had a productive at-bat. With runners on 2nd and 3rd and one out, Aubert stroked a 2-run single to left. It made the score 4-2, Los Angeles. For the game, he went 1 for 3 with a walk, while adding 2 RBI.
"We had a good game plan," Messenger said, "and we were able to execute it."
Today's win puts Los Angeles at 43-39, while Kansas City falls to 40-42.
