Industrials Stumble, Lose to Bluebirds

The skies opened up and the rain fell at Flatbush Park.
The Brooklyn Bluebirds picked up a win at Flatbush Park, knocking off the Pittsburgh Industrials, 8-2. On the mound for Brooklyn was left-hander Jackie Richardson. He played a key role in the triumph. Richardson picked up the win for Brooklyn, going 7 innings. He gave up 2 runs on 9 hits. He now sports a record of 5-8.
In the bottom of the seventh, Brooklyn pinch hitter Don Calise had a productive at-bat. With runners on 2nd and 3rd and one out, Calise stroked a 2-run single to center. It made the score 5-2, Brooklyn. For the game, he went 1-1. He drove in 2 runs.
