The Houston Drillers picked up a win at Bluff Park, taking down the Dallas Wranglers, 4-2, in 10 innings. On the mound for Houston was right-hander Rick McStay. He played a central role in the triumph. The win for the Drillers raised their record to 43-38.

Houston used the timely hitting of Rich Lewis to seize the win. The catcher stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the tenth inning to put the Drillers on top, 3-2. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"We didn't let this one get away," said McStay.
