The New York Empires locked up a win at Atlantic Avenue Grounds, knocking off the Boston Terriers, 6-1. On the mound for New York was right-hander Nate Frampton. He played a major role in the triumph. New York goes to 5-3.

New York used a well-timed hit by Al Castro to capture the win. The right fielder socked a run-scoring double in the top of the fourth inning to put the Empires ahead, 2-0. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.

"I was just taking it batter by batter, just enjoying the moment," said Frampton.
