|
Toronto Hurons starter Larry Haines pitched well against the New York Empires at Dominion Field, leading his team to a win, 5-3. Haines yielded 3 runs over 9 innings to notch the win. He scattered 10 hits, walked 6, and struck out 1. His record improves to 5-6. The 6th-place Hurons improved to 36-45.
Second Baseman Eddie McClatchey made an impact for Toronto, when he swatted a run-scoring double off Andy Humphrey in the bottom of the fourth. For the contest, McClatchey was 2 for 4 with a double.
