The Denver Burros and Milwaukee Dairymen played a tight game with the hosts claiming a hard-fought win.

Dick Scorza, who finished 5th in the NBL in ERA with 2.42 in 1963, propelled his team to victory over the Milwaukee Dairymen. The final score was 3-1, Denver. At 44-39, the Burros are currently second in the National Baseball League Western Division.

The Burros got a big at-bat from third baseman Jamie Robinson. For the game, Robinson was 1-3 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the first, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 11th home run of the season gave Denver a 2-1 lead.

"We put some tough at-bats on some tough pitches," said Denver manager Clark Anderson.
