Danny Fierro did all he could to help his team win. In the end, though, it wasn't enough to keep the Baltimore Lords from being beaten, 8-6, to the Boston Terriers at Atlantic Avenue Grounds. Fierro went 3-5 with 2 home runs and a double. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice. The Terriers, now 41-41, have won 5 in a row.

Boston got a knockout punch from Lou Ward. The second baseman hammered a 2-run home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game. It might've been his only hit, but it decided the outcome.

"It's great when the crowd gets into it," Ward said.
