Habitants Top Terriers, 1-0, Behind Barron
|
The Montreal Habitants got a magnificent effort from pitcher Rich Barron, who kept Boston hitters in check en route to a 1-0 Habitants win at LaSalle Stadium. Montreal, now 8-1, is setting the league on fire so far.
Montreal starter Rich Barron was exceptional. The 6-foot-7 right-hander allowed no runs on 3 hits over 7.2 innings of work.
"Things will change for us," said Boston manager Jonah Placeholder. "When things change, we'll get clicking."
