Farooqi Holds Chicago Scoreless
|
In a seemingly effortless performance, Syed Farooqi of the Twin Cities Northmen shot down the Chicago Hawks, 5-0, on 4 hits.
"Syed was just locating so well and using his pitches," Twin Cities manager Jason Gudim said later. "He wasn't leaving anything over the plate."
Farooqi recorded 5 strikeouts and no walks in a strong outing.
"When he needed to make pitches, he elevated his game," Chicago manager Mike Flaherty said in postgame comments to BNN. "We couldn't get a key hit off him."
