Pittsburgh registered a win at Flatbush Park by beating the Brooklyn Bluebirds, 5-4. Pitcher Gene Steinhauer was one reason why the Industrials triumphed. Bob Cole snagged the win in relief. He goes to 4-7 on the season. Bob Hill suffered the loss. The second-place Industrials lifted their record to 47-38.

Don Keough came through with a big-time hit for Pittsburgh. The pinch hitter smacked a 2-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to give his team the lead, 5-4. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.

"Coming in, from the get-go, I knew my stuff was good," said Steinhauer.
