Northmen Get Past Seattle for 7-6 Win
The Twin Cities Northmen bumped off the Seattle Emeralds, 7-6, at Twin Cities Stadium. Chris Berman hit 3 singles and 1 double. He also had 2 RBI. Paul Whitaker earned the win after being summoned from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2 innings. He upped his record to 6-3. The Northmen saw their record improve to 37-45.

The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the ninth. With one out, Berman hit a slider from Carroll Reynolds for a run-scoring single. The Northmen, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.

"This place went bonkers at the end," Berman said.
