The Pittsburgh Industrials topped the Brooklyn Bluebirds, 4-2, in National Baseball League action at Allegheny Field. The game was highlighted by the performance of Pittsburgh pitcher Bob Briggs. Briggs went the distance for Pittsburgh. He gave up 2 runs on 6 hits. The victory gives the Industrials a record of 43-40.
Third Baseman Keith MacPherson made an impact for Pittsburgh, when he swatted a 2-run double off Jackie Richardson in the bottom of the third. For the contest, MacPherson went 1 for 4 with a double. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.
"If I go out there and help the team win, that's all you can do," said Briggs.
