Terriers Need Extra Frames to Get Past Empires
In a low-scoring tilt between the Boston Terriers and the New York Empires, George Jakubowski was the difference-maker. The Boston right-hander spearheaded the 3-2 win. Mark Gaynor, credited with the win, is now 1-0. He allowed no runs on no hits. Boston is now 5-4.

The Terriers procured the win, in large part because of first baseman Dean Potvin. In the bottom of the 12th, he produced the game-winning run-scoring single.

In postgame remarks, Jakubowski simply said: "Here's to a great win!"
