Late Magic Gets Los Angeles 8-3 Win
The Los Angeles Pobladores picked up a win at Bluff Park, dropping the Dallas Wranglers, 8-3. Bob Powell, who is tied for 10th in the ABL in complete games with 3, was the difference-maker. Powell got the win, improving to 5-8. He gave up 5 hits and walked 3 over 7 innings. He allowed 3 runs. Los Angeles has now won 3 straight, while the Wranglers have lost 3 in a row.

Los Angeles used a timely hit from Mario Abreu to get the win. The right fielder stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the eighth inning to put the Pobladores ahead, 4-3. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it made an impact.

"We're all about heart and hustle on this team. That's what wins ballgames," Abreu told the Los Angeles Times.
