Starting pitcher John Pardoe had a solid game. He was a big reason the Baltimore Lords throttled the Toronto Hurons, 5-1. With the victory, the Lords record stands at 41-43.

Had James Pendleton not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 3rd, Pendleton hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 2-1, in favor of the Lords.

"John's not intimidated by who's stepping into the batter's box," said Baltimore manager Steve Read.
