Montreal right fielder Tim Delaney collected 5 ribbies while his team bumped off the New York Empires, 8-5, in 10 innings. The win went to Dave Quinlan in relief, making him now 3-4. Tom Duncan took the loss for New York. Picking up the save was Al Johns, his 13th.

The game was all tied up in the top of the tenth, until Delaney delivered big-time for Montreal, stroking a dramatic 3-run home run off Tom Duncan. The game-changing hit put the Habitants on top, 8-5.

"Feels good to get the job done," Delaney said after the game.

Montreal is in 4th place in the American Baseball League Eastern Division with a record of 42-43.
