Wranglers Best Seagulls in Pitching Duel
The Dallas Wranglers picked up a win at Bluff Park, courtesy of Barry Gilmore. The right-hander helped his team stop the San Francisco Seagulls, 2-1. The Wranglers saw their record improve to 49-38.

The Wranglers got a big hit from left fielder Pat Simmons. In the bottom of the sixth, Simmons smacked a 2-run double off San Francisco pitcher Jerry Patrick. It was his 15th double of the season. Suddenly, the Wranglers were ahead, 2-1.

"There are no moral victories," said losing manager Al Borie.
