Emeralds Suffer 5-3 Road Loss
|
It might have been a rain-shorted game, but the hometown crowd didn't seem to mind.
The timely hitting of Sergio Morales helped the Chicago Hawks down the Seattle Emeralds, 5-3. Morales went 2-3 with a home run. He scored 2 runs for the Hawks. The win has Chicago at 27-60.
Marv Haynes, who is tied for 7th in the ABL in triples with 4, had a timely hit in the bottom of the fifth inning. With two out and runners on 2nd and 3rd, the Chicago left fielder hit a run-scoring single. That put the Hawks in front, 4-3.
Haynes called the win "a collective effort."
