The Atlanta Generals knocked off the Baltimore Lords, 7-5, at Atlantic Station Field. Matt Legrow was a big reason Atlanta won. The center fielder was 2-3 with a home run and was hit by a pitch. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Bill Davis, who is tied for 4th in the ABL in innings pitched with 140.2, was the winner. He's now 6-8. The loser was John Fredrick. Ron Winder closed the door for Atlanta, picking up his 11th save of the year.

With Atlanta leading 2-1 in the bottom of the third, Legrow hit a knuckle curve from John Fredrick for a 3-run home run. It was his 6th home run of the season and put the Generals ahead, 5-1.

"Just trying to keep things simple and helping the team win any way I can," Legrow told a local reporter after the game.

Atlanta is now 42-44, while Baltimore is 41-44.
