Down to Defeat Go Habitants, 6-1
|
Starting pitcher Tim Jepperson did his part in helping the Boston Terriers thwart the Montreal Habitants, 6-1. Boston reliever Bill Falcon picked up the win, upping his record to 3-3. Bob Schar took the loss. The loss makes Montreal 42-44.
Jeff Whitlock hit a 2-run double off Bob Schar in the bottom of the sixth, which put the Terriers in front, 2-0. In addition to the double, Whitlock had 1 single, while going 2 for 4.
"Tim giving us the start that he did was huge," said Boston manager David Molina.
