Farooqi Shuts Out St. Louis, 1-0
It wasn't easy but the Los Angeles Blockbusters made it look that way.

Starter Syed Farooqi shut out the St. Louis Explorers despite having what he later called "sub-par" stuff, and the Los Angeles Blockbusters cruised to victory, 1-0. Farooqi allowed only 2 hits and rang up 3 strikeouts but insisted later that he did not deserve primary credit for the win.

"It didn't feel quite right today, but I got a lot of help to get through," he said. "I trusted my catcher and the guys behind me bailed me out more than once when I screwed up."

To date this season Farooqi has compiled a 8-7 record with a 2.63 ERA in 19 starts.
