Blockbusters Earn Late 7-6 Win
The home squad pulled out a thrilling walk-off win.

The timely hitting of Steve Oubre helped the Los Angeles Blockbusters down the Chicago Traders, 7-6. Oubre was 2-4 with a home run. He drove in 4 runs and scored once for the Blockbusters. Los Angeles reliever Cardell Franklin was the winner. His record is now 6-6. The losing pitcher was Randy Weisenberg.

The defining moment came in the bottom of the ninth for Los Angeles. That's when Jim Brookins hit a 2-run double off 27-year old left-handed pitcher Randy Weisenberg to win the game. The home crowd went wild.

"Glad to see the fans get into it," said Brookins.

The Blockbusters sport a record of 35-52.
