Burros shortstop Chuck Carr left his mark on his team's 10-7 win over the Los Angeles Blockbusters. Carr, who won the Rookie of the Year Award in 1974, went 1-3 with a home run and 2 walks, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once for Denver in the contest. Picking up his 3rd save was 31-year old right-handed pitcher Joe Hamby. Denver has a mark of 3-6 after the win.

In the bottom of the fourth, with the bases loaded, Carr came to the plate. He drew a walk, driving in 1 run off Basil Anderson to put the Burros in the lead, 5-4.

"We came out with clear minds and swung the bats well," said Denver manager Clark Anderson.
