Blockbusters Deal Dairymen 8-5 Loss
Larry Morford did all he could to help his team win. In the end, though, it wasn't enough to spare the Milwaukee Dairymen an extra-inning, 8-5 loss to the Los Angeles Blockbusters at Milwaukee Municipal Stadium. Morford was 2-3 with a home run and 2 walks, while scoring 2 and driving in 3. Los Angeles pitcher John Bailey got the win. He's now 1-2. Denny Grissinger was tagged with the loss. The Blockbusters now have a record of 42-46 with the win over Milwaukee.

Los Angeles needed the clutch hitting of Harvey Katzen to seal the deal. The second baseman swatted a 3-run home run in the top of the tenth inning to put the Blockbusters on top, 7-4. For the game, Katzen had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

"It was terrific getting this win," Katzen said. "We put in a lot of work to do it."
