Los Angeles Gets Riveting Walk-Off Win
Despite a great performance by Milwaukee shortstop Gary Austin, the Los Angeles Blockbusters defeated the Dairymen by the score of 6-5 at Blockbuster Stadium. Austin was 4-6 with a triple and 3 singles. The winner in relief was Tom Benson. The right-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits in 2 innings. He now owns a record of 3-2. With this game in the books, Los Angeles is 42-44, Milwaukee 41-46.

The Blockbusters got a clutch hit from pinch hitter George Strum. In the bottom of the 12th, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Blockbusters.

"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Strum told the Los Angeles News.
