Carpenter Now 4-0 After Subduing Packers
|
In a low-scoring tilt between the New York Knickerbockers and the Cincinnati Packers, 28-year old right-handed pitcher Tracy Carpenter was the difference-maker. The New York right-hander spearheaded the 1-0 win. Ollie Hundley locked down his 18th save. With the win, the Knickerbockers sit at 45-45.
Carpenter confounded Cincinnati hitters. Over 8.2 innings, he allowed no runs on 4 hits.
"It doesn't matter if you're 10 games over .500 or 10 games under, it feels good to win," Carpenter told the New York Chronicle.
