The Milwaukee Dairymen picked up a win at Milwaukee Municipal Stadium, knocking off the Chicago Traders, 7-6, in 11 innings. On the mound for Milwaukee was right-hander Ollie Aldredge. He played a pivotal role in the triumph. Milwaukee reliever Denny Grissinger picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Wes Stolz took the loss. Chicago now has a record of 6-4.

The defining moment came in the bottom of the 11th for Milwaukee. That's when Tug Hollenbeck hit a run-scoring double off 23-year old right-handed pitcher Wes Stolz to win the game. The home crowd went wild.

"That's what these guys do," said Dairymen manager Brandon Dudley. "They battle, they fight."
