Eagles Edge Bobcats, 7-6
|
The game between Washington and Cleveland is in the books, despite a little rain.
Though he had a stellar game, Tom Howard could not prevent his team, the Cleveland Bobcats, from losing, 7-6, to the Washington Eagles. Howard went 2-3 with a home run, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3. The Eagles sport a record of 37-54.
Ron Keiser had a big 3-run home run for the Eagles in the bottom of the first inning. With Washington leading 1-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a changeup from 25-year old right-handed pitcher Bill Wilson and swatted a home run to right-center. It was his 1st home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Eagles ahead, 4-0.
"Nice win for us," said Keiser. "Now we'll go after the next one."
