Heath Hurls Complete Game, Captains Win, 5-1
|
Ray Heath never let Kansas City get something going. The San Diego right-hander commanded his curveball in pitching the Captains to a 5-1 win. The Bulls have now dropped 11 straight.
Heath scattered 5 hits over 9 innings for the Captains. With the win, Heath moves to 11-4 on the year with 104 strikeouts.
"If you can control the count and control the hitter, you're going to have the upper hand," said Heath.
