Steve Coomes, who finished 4th in the ABL in wins with 18 in 1968, imposed his will on the Pobladores from the get-go. Relying mainly on his fastball, the right-hander spearheaded the 5-1 Dallas triumph. The Pobladores, at 32-55, have lost 8 in a row.
