Toronto Slaps 3-2 Loss on Hawks
|
In a tight tilt between the Toronto Hurons and the Chicago Hawks, Ben Immel was the deciding factor. The Toronto left-hander spearheaded the 3-2 win. Steve Persenaire was credited with the save, his 3rd in 3 tries. Toronto has a record of 40-47, placing them 6th in the American Baseball League Eastern Division.
Toronto took a 3-0 lead on Immel's 1st double of the season. The run-scoring double, which he hit off Johnny Russell in the top of the seventh, propelled Toronto to the win.
"Not enough offensively in a winnable game," said losing manager Mike Flaherty.
