Packers Topple Dairymen with Late Rally
Angel Gutierrez did all he could to help his team win. In the end, though, it wasn't enough to keep the Milwaukee Dairymen from being beaten, 10-7, to the Cincinnati Packers at Milwaukee Municipal Stadium. Gutierrez went 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. Brian Alfieri earned his 3rd save in 5 chances. Cincinnati now sits at 41-50, while Milwaukee falls to 36-54.

The game was at a stalemate until right fielder Jerry Anderson came to bat in the top of the ninth. Facing Milwaukee pitcher Archie Sereni, he hit a 1-1 slider for a 2-run single. It was a game-changer, putting Cincinnati on top, 9-7.

"We just try to have good at-bats, whether we're winning, losing, or tied," said Anderson.
