Late Rally Earns New York 5-3 Win
Baseball fans saw a good contest between the New York Knickerbockers and Philadelphia Quakers.

Philadelphia got a decent performance from pitcher Fred Harrison, but it wasn't enough to beat the New York Knickerbockers. New York won the Quakers Stadium contest, 5-3. Harrison threw 7.2 innings of 6-hit ball for the losing team. With the win, New York raised its record to 46-43.

Who knows how it would've ended, had it not been for Steve Wright? The 23-year old second baseman Wright stroked a 2-run single in the top of the ninth inning to put New York up, 5-3. For the game, he was 2 for 4, including 1 double and 1 single.

"I feel like a little kid every time I put the uniform on," said Wright.
