The New York Knickerbockers picked up a win at Knickerbocker Stadium, knocking off the Cincinnati Packers, 5-2. Starting pitcher Bruce Owen played a key role in the triumph. Ollie Hundley wrapped it up, recording his 1st save. Cincinnati falls to 5-4.
Andy Covarrubio aided the New York cause with a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the bottom of the sixth. For the game, the catcher drew 1 walk in 4 plate appearances.
