Explorers Absorb 4-2 Home Loss
|
The 3-hit performance of Harvey Katzen, who is a two-time All-Star, helped the Los Angeles Blockbusters beat the St. Louis Explorers, 4-2. Cardell Franklin locked down his 1st save. The win makes Los Angeles 40-50.
With Los Angeles leading 2-1 in the top of the third, Katzen hit a fastball from Bob Trout for a run-scoring double. It was his 14th double of the season and put the Blockbusters ahead, 3-1.
"We cashed in when we had the chance," said Los Angeles manager John Trausch.
