Baltimore pitcher Jose Rodriguez had a large part in his team beating the Montreal Habitants, 4-2. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Earning his 14th save for Baltimore was Denny Boyd. The win elevated the Lords to 50-40.

Baltimore shortstop Mike Caito helped the Lords go up, 3-2, in the bottom of the sixth inning. With the game tied, Caito hit a run-scoring single off Montreal pitcher Manny Esparza.

"Jose is good at sticking to his strengths," said Baltimore manager Steve Read.
