Industrials Get Clutch Win, 2-1
Pitching was the name of the game in a tight contest between the Pittsburgh Industrials and the Philadelphia Quakers. Pittsburgh won it, 2-1. Pittsburgh starter Ron Winder was in command. Pittsburgh has a record of 4-6.

Pittsburgh took a 2-1 lead on Bill May's 1st double of the season. The run-scoring double, which May hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Philadelphia pitcher Bill Kaiser visibly frustrated.

"I like what I saw today," said Pittsburgh manager Vincent Wicker, "and I can't wait to get back out there and do it again."
