New York parlayed a decent outing from starter Tim Fried into a solid win over the Los Angeles Blockbusters. The final score was 4-2. The setback makes Los Angeles 37-55.

The Knickerbockers got a big at-bat from center fielder Ted Schlener. For the game, Schlener went 1 for 4 with a double. He drove in 2 runs. In the bottom of the fifth, with runners on 2nd and 3rd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 25th double of the season gave New York a 4-2 lead.
