The Baltimore Lords banked on Larry Diego and he turned in a masterful performance. The right-hander kept the Detroit hitters in check. The final score was 3-0, Lords. The save went to Denny Boyd, his 11th this season. The Lords improved their record to 44-47 by beating Detroit.

Diego, who was born in Vallejo, California, threw 98 pitches over 8 innings, while allowing no runs.
