Habitants Get Thrilling 3-2 Win
|
Starting pitcher Lawrence Connor gave the Montreal Habitants a rock-solid performance, helping his team defeat the Atlanta Generals, 3-2, at LaSalle Stadium. Montreal reliever Al Johns picked up the win, upping his record to 4-3. Paul Hodges took the loss. The setback makes Atlanta 47-46.
The Habitants got a clutch hit from second baseman Oscar Corte. In the bottom of the tenth, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Habitants.
"Lawrence gave us a heck of an effort," said Montreal manager Michel Alexandre Cauchon.
