Kansas City beat Denver at Independence Field, eking out a 3-2 win. The triumph was primarily due to right fielder Ken Durick. He was 3 for 3 with a home run and a triple. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Kansas City is second in the National Baseball League Western Division with a record of 51-43.
Durick had an important at-bat with a runner on 1st in the bottom of the sixth, when he hit a 2-run home run. The Bulls went on to win.
"Another day, another win. On to the next one," Durick told the Kansas City Citizen.
