Burros Suffer One-Run Loss at Kansas City
|
In a tight tilt between the Kansas City Bulls and the Denver Burros, Dave Gilson was the deciding factor. The Kansas City right-hander spearheaded the 2-1 win. Earning his 1st save for Kansas City was Andy Luce. The win has Kansas City at 34-60.
The Bulls got a big at-bat from shortstop Harvey Alterman. For the game, Alterman was 2 for 3 with a double. He drove in 2 runs. In the bottom of the second, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 9th double of the season gave Kansas City a 2-1 lead.
"We're all smiles after that win," Alterman told the Kansas City Gazette.
