Blockbusters Jolt Dairymen, 8-6, with Late Rally
Los Angeles and Milwaukee duked it out and the Blockbusters came out victorious.

The Los Angeles Blockbusters topped the Milwaukee Dairymen, 8-6, in National Baseball League action at Milwaukee Municipal Stadium. The standout performance belonged to Los Angeles center fielder and Chicago, Illinois, native Larry Messenger. Ralph Weintraub got the win, improving to 5-6. He worked 8.2 innings, giving up 6 runs on 13 hits, while striking out 3 and walking 3.

In the top of the eighth, the Blockbusters grabbed the lead when Messenger hit his 4th double of the season. The 2-run double off Arnie Keilman made it 5-4, Los Angeles.

"No time for flexing," said Messenger. "It's always one game at a time."

The loss makes Milwaukee 46-45.
