On Road, Seattle Drops Dallas, 3-1
|
In a low-scoring affair between the Seattle Emeralds and the Dallas Wranglers, pitcher Denny Goldberg was the difference between victory and defeat. The Seattle right-hander earned accolades for his stellar performance in the 3-1 Emeralds win. With the victory, the Emeralds upped their record to 47-45.
Don Boatwright, who was drafted in the 3rd round of the 1967 draft, had a direct impact on the outcome. Boatwright contributed a 2-run single in the top of the fourth inning to put Seattle up, 2-0.
"We'll relax tonight and get back after it tomorrow," Boatwright said after the game.
