Baseball fans saw a good contest between the Cleveland Bobcats and Kansas City Bulls.

Led by Jim McCusker, the Cleveland Bobcats defeated the Kansas City Bulls, 5-3. McCusker went 2 for 4 with a home run. He drove in 4 runs and scored once for the Bobcats. The winning pitcher was Tim McDonald. His record now stands at 6-9. The left-hander went 6.2 innings, allowing 2 runs on 8 hits for the Bobcats. Tim Fried earned his 10th save in 17 chances.

Cleveland grabbed the momentum in the bottom of the fifth, when McCusker hit a 3-run home run off Bob Crosby. His 3rd home run of the season put the Bobcats out in front, 4-1.
