The Los Angeles Pobladores faced a tough opponent in Boston pitcher Steve Papa, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Atlantic Avenue Grounds by a final score of 4-2. Papa went 7 innings and allowed 1 run. Larry Seger snagged the win in relief. He goes to 5-4 on the season. David Juarez suffered the loss. The win hiked the Los Angeles record to 53-39.

Los Angeles used the timely hitting of Don Horton to seize the win. The catcher stroked a 2-run single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Pobladores on top, 4-2. It was his only hit in 2 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"I like the roll we're on," said Los Angeles manager Alex Wobbema.
